This is an order from a hotel on the island of Hawaii.
I've made many counters in the past, but making the counters for this "Hawaii Omakase" project took a lot of time and materials.

This was because we needed double counters over 600mm wide.
The most time-consuming part of constructing these Hinoki countertops is matching the grain and color of the Hinoki.

We use all Hinoki from the Yoshino region of Japan, and each piece of wood has a different color and grain.
These differences result in unnatural looks in the joints and other areas, so this is the most time-consuming part at Hanabusa, and only a few pieces of wood are available out of dozens of pieces.

These countertops are made in my studio and then assembled, as shown in the photo.
Every part is checked once assembled, then disassembled and packed.

This time the owner came all the way from Hawaii to meet us.
This was so wonderful.

And I would like to thank the staff and those involved.
We can't wait to see these counters installed in the near future.
Thank you so much.
