A request for countertops from Austin, Texas.
Last year, we received a request for an Omakase countertop from the owner of a restaurant based in Texas.
Of course, the wood used is Hinoki.
While we stock many Hinoki pieces, we selected the best Hinoki suitable for this project.

These materials are, of course, the finest wood from the Yoshino region, a renowned production area for Hinoki wood.
The slab is approximately 4 inches thick, and is finished to 3 inches after removing any warping or twisting.
Hinoki boats exceeding 7 meters (23 inches) in length and 450 mm in width rarely appear on the market.
The best connection method and silk finish.
Hinoki wood has a wonderful length and width, but due to limited space during on-site delivery, it needs to be cut in half.
These joints are superb; even upon close inspection, it's difficult to distinguish the joints.
This connection know-how is unique to Hanabusa and requires a constant engagement with the material.

Can you see the joint in the photo?

It's the part indicated by the blue arrow. Then the Hinoki countertop is completed and finished.
The finish is Hanabusa's unique silk finish.

It was carefully packaged and shipped to withstand harsh shipping conditions.
We plan to go to Austin, Texas in late March to install the Countertops.
