The season for cutting down logs is not limited to hinoki trees, but starts around November when it snows.
The best season will be until around March next year.
We do not purchase hinoki felled outside of these seasons.
This is because the wood retains a lot of moisture during the season when new buds appear, which can lead to rot, mold, and damage from pests.
We have just started purchasing them in earnest, but the number of large hinoki is decreasing year by year.
They are also very expensive.
In 2025, we will focus on large diameter trees and make further efforts so that we can deliver them to you in a few years.
