Project hilights of Montclair, New Jersey
Summary
After a long process spanning approximately two years, we were finally able to install Omakase JHONETSU Hinoki countertop in Montclair, New Jersey.
Before production began, the client traveled from New Jersey to Japan to inspect the Hinoki wood.

They had a strong commitment to the counter, which is the main stage of their store, and we were entrusted with bringing their vision to life in New Jersey.
A preliminary visit to Montclair
While construction progressed steadily, albeit with some delays, the photo shows me visiting Montclair last year during the installation of the Omakase YUGIN counter next to Central Park in Manhattan, where I met with the constructor.

The long-awaited counter installation in Montclair
Six months later, in April 2026, the Hinoki counter was installed in Montclair. At the client's request, a photographer was also present to film our installation over the course of several days.

We are looking forward to receiving the edited video once it's ready.
The completed Hinoki counter is an L-shaped counter with a curved design.
The joints are so perfectly seamless that they are virtually indistinguishable from the outside.

After several days of installation, a truly magnificent counter was created. We took precautions to prevent any damage before the opening and then left Montclair.
It took many years, but it's a project that has become a very cherished memory for me.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved.
Thank you so much!
